Club regulations

  • The club can have sailboats and windsurfers only.

  • The only motor vessels allowed to be launched or moored at the club are the Club’s Safety boats, Municipality Lifeguards’ boat and small vessels from Sailing Yachts associated to the club.

  • Cars will be allowed in the boat park area only upon license from the Committee.

  • Keep the boat park area clean and tidy at all times. Boat owners should use only the space allocated to them.

  • When launching boats trolleys should be stored to one side of the slipway in order not to block the launching traffic.

  • Boats hired from the club’s sailing center should be washed and put away properly right after a day’s sail.

  • Sailors should keep personal belongings and gear in an orderly way. All belongings are left at owner’s risk.

  • Use water sparingly. When done coil the hose and shut the water off.

  • In good seamanship manner all sailors are expected to assist each other on and off the water.

  • Keep the Duty Roster as assigned from the club. Arrangements for substitute should be made in advance directly between the members.

  • Respect club’s facilities, environment and equipment. I wash and return all items to their original place i.e. water hose, trolleys, boxes, tools robes etc.

  • Guests brought to the club are limited to 3 visits. Then they are expected to apply for membership.

  • When sailing, I sign-in and sign-out in the club’s Log Book.

  • Sail at your own risk at all times.

  • The club has no obligation of monitoring anybody’s sailing.

  • Wear suitable personal buoyancy at all times when sailing.

  • The club has no liability to any member on land and on sea.

  • Safety boat is available only during regattas and club racing, to recover people not property.

  • Safety boat is used only by licensed drivers appointed by the club’s committee.

  • Any recovery made by the Safety Boat after the consist of the boat owner and during none event days, will be charged by the club accordingly.

  • Use your own sailing equipment: a bag / life jacket / sailing shoes / sailing gloves / sun protection gear / water canister.

Boat positions are allocated to boat owners according to the following criteria placed in priority order. These criteria are reevaluated every season by the sailing committee.

  1. Participation of each boat owner in club's event calendar

  2. Age of boat owner and physical disabilities

  3. General leisure usage of boats

Participation in racing, training and leisure usage of boats is registered in the club's log book with "sign in" and "sign out". Also necessary for safety reasons so members at the club can have a clue of who is in the water at all times. Shifting boat positions for any other reason has to be a private arrangement between the involved boat-owners members
