The Famagusta District Sailing Club «Begafigo» (hereinafter referred to as «Begafigo» or «the Club») is a duly recognised and authorised Society (club) pursuant to the Societies and Institutions and Other Related Matters Law, N. 104(I)/2017, as amended, having registration number 2677, as well as a registered club under Cyprus Sports Organisation having registration number 615 and is the Data Controller for the purposes of this Privacy Notice. The main establishment and the central administration of the Club is at Famagusta, Ayia Triada, Paralimni, 5318, Republic of Cyprus.

Your personal data, including any special categories of personal data (where applicable) shall be processed for the purposes of your membership application, to comply with our legal and statutory obligations, as well as for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the Club.
The personal data will be processed only by authorised persons of the Club, provided that it is necessary to perform and comply with the Club’s statutory and other related obligations and/or pursuant to your express consent and/or for protecting the Club’s legitimate interests. Personal Data may be transferred to the Cyprus Sailing Federation and/or other governmental Authorities and on that basis Begafigo has taken all reasonable measures to ensure that the personal data are processed or disclosed as required by law.
You have the right to request access, rectification, to restrict the processing of your personal data, to object, to request erasure as well as the right to data portability. Where the data processing is taking place solely pursuant to your express consent, you have the right to withdraw such consent at any given moment. Such consent withdrawal will not affect the lawfulness of any data processing based on that ground prior to your withdrawal.
You also have a right to raise a complaint before the Cyprus’ personal data supervisory authority, the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (http://www.dataprotection.gov.cy).
Begafigo will retain the personal data concerning its members and where applicable registered athletes, for as long as the membership with the Club exists. Following that time, your personal data may be retained for a period up to 7 (seven) years, depending on the legal and/or statutory and/or other obligations deriving by the law governing the operations of the Club.
